Senators to airlines: Drop checked bag fees – it’ll make airports faster
Two U.S. senators want airlines to drop their fees on checked baggage. They say the fees have resulted in more carry-on bags on flights which slow down the time for passengers to get through security. While they admit dropping the fees won’t eliminate the lines, they say it would be a start. The airlines say what’s really needed is more staffing of the TSA.
