Ingredients
- 2 bunch es basil
- 1 bunch mint
- 4 clove garlic
- 1/4 cup pinenuts
- 1 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup salt and pepper
Preparation
Baking Directions:
Place basil, mint, garlic, and pinenuts in a blender, and season with salt and pepper.
Chop ingredients, and slowly pour in olive oil while pulsing.
Remove from blender and fold in Parmesan cheese.
Tips:
This is a traditional basil sauce from Genoa.
I add mint to incorporate Ligurian flavors.
