Cheddar stuffed bratwurst

Ingredients

Sauerkraut
  • 8 ounce prepared sauerkraut
  • 2 ounce kielbasa, diced
  • 1/2 ounce small white onion, sliced
  • 3/4 cup beer
  • 1/4 teaspoon caraway seed
  • 2 teaspoon juniper berries
Bratwurst
  • 8 ounce prepared sauerkraut
  • 2 ounce kielbasa, diced

  • 3/4 cup beer

  • 2 teaspoon juniper berries
  • 2 schaller & weber cheddar stuffed bratwurst
  • 3/4 cup beer
  • 3/4 cup water
For serving
  • 8 ounce prepared sauerkraut
  • 2 ounce kielbasa, diced
  • 1/2 ounce small white onion, sliced
  • 3/4 cup beer
  • 1/4 teaspoon caraway seed
  • 2 teaspoon juniper berries
  • 2 schaller & weber cheddar stuffed bratwurst
  • 3/4 cup beer
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sauerkraut
  • 2 tablespoon grain mustard
  • 2 tablespoon potato hoagie rolls

Preparation

Baking Directions:

For the sauerkraut, place everything in a saucepan and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

For the bratwurst, place bratwurst in a pot with beer and water and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.

Serving Directions:

Spread each roll with mustard.

Top with a brat and half the sauerkraut.
