Summer isn't over yet, but we're already adding layers to our everyday looks. Before you start pulling down every scarf and jacket in your closet, we're not talking about bundling up for the cold. This layering is all about adding a new level of dimension to your style.

Layering makeup definitely doesn't have to look caked on. In fact, adding subtle dimension to your makeup routine could help you finally achieve that glow-y, no-makeup look. Or, it can amp up your standard routine for a night out on the town!

Skin care:

When it comes to skin care, prepping is always key. You want to make sure you're applying the lightest products (like serums) first, then move on to the thicker creams and moisturizers.

Eye shadow:

With eye shadow, always start with the lightest shade first. This will act as a base for the entire look. Then use your chosen eyeliner to define the eye and contour with cream shadows. Add a powder shadow to set. You can use a dark powdered eye shadow to set the eyeliner or blend it out to create a sexy, smokey effect.
