When my Shop TODAY editor asked me to review this short sleeve tunic top, I was somewhat hesitant. Sure, it looks cute and feminine — like something you’d see a French woman wearing at an outdoor café while sipping an espresso. But given the price tag ($13.49!), and the fact online appearances can be deceiving, I wondered if I would still feel a certain je ne sais quoi after actually testing the shirt.
Colors: 24 | Sizes: S-3XL | Fabric: 100% polyester
The answer? Oui! I quickly realized the almost 80% of purchasers who gave this shirt five stars did so not just because of the price — but because this shirt checks the box when it comes to fit and quality. Here’s why I agree with them…
Why I like this blouse
It has a flattering fit
Wearing a tunic is a game of proportions — how it hangs on your body is critical to its overall success. Some tunics make you appear pregnant, others can be tight in the shoulders and bust area, creating an uncomfortable fit.
This tunic is figure-flattering thanks to its pleated crew neckline (the shirring starts at the collar and ends at the bustline, with some small pleating on the back), slimming cinched waist, and curved hem that’s designed so you can wear it loose or partially tucked in for a more youthful look. In other words, this top is less flowy tunic and more relaxed fit. It also provides coverage (and figure flaw forgiveness) with length in the front and back and a cap sleeve that falls between the shoulder and elbow (there are also long-sleeve options available).
The shirt comes in six sizes — small, medium, large, x-large, 2XL and 3XL. Because I normally wear a XS (I’m only 5’2”), I thought the small would run large, but it fit true to size.
It’s available in floral prints and various colors
The tunic comes in 24 different options, including prints and solids. I opted for the “white blue floral” which includes tiny blue, tan and brown blooms because they reminded me of a shirt I owned (and loved) in my twenties. Which says a lot — the right print can look ageless and not like the wallpaper in your grandmother’s house. In fact, while shooting these photos, I was stopped by a few millennials asking me where I purchased this shirt.
It feels good against the skin
I was honestly surprised by the quality of the fabric given the price. The soft (not scratchy) material is polyester — you can throw it in the wash and dryer and not have to worry about shrinkage and wrinkling (I air-dried it the first time just to be safe). And unlike some poly blends, this one is lightweight, so you won’t be sweating through it in warmer weather.
It's perfect for all types of events
Whether you’re headed to lunch with your girlfriends, to your kid’s weekend lacrosse tournament, or to a college reunion, this top provides a stylish (and effortless) look that transcends countless social gatherings.
It’s timeless
This three-season shirt can be worn throughout the spring, summer and fall. During cooler months, consider layering it under a jacket, blazer or cardigan.
It works with different bottoms
I like to pair this top with white or blue jeans, cropped pants, leggings and shorts. Keep in mind for a more slimming look, a tunic should fall shorter or longer than the widest point on your thigh.

What to consider
Some buyers complain the colors are not what they appear to be in the photos. There’s a warning on the site noting, “The color may be lighter or darker due to the different PC display.” Luckily, the colors on my shirt matched the photo perfectly.
Purchasers also note the solid colors may run smaller than the floral patterns.
It's a good value
This tunic top adds a touch of femininity to any summer or fall look, accentuating curves in a modest yet flattering way. At $12.49, it’s a great deal — don’t be surprised if you find yourself ordering more than one!
