Hailey Bieber says she’s looking forward to being a mom when the time comes — but for now, she’s over all the pregnancy rumors.

The model and entrepreneur, 26, opened up to GQ about shutting down speculation that she and husband Justin Bieber are expecting.

“Recently, everybody was like, ‘Oh, my God, she’s pregnant,’ and that’s happened to me multiple times before,” she said. “There is something that’s disheartening about, Damn, I can’t be bloated one time and not be pregnant?”

The Rhode founder, who wed Justin Bieber in 2018, has been combating pregnancy rumors for a while now.

In April 2022, gossip site RadarOnline shared an Instagram photo of Bieber at the Grammys, claiming the model had “what appeared to be a ‘baby bump.’”

Bieber set the record straight, writing in the comments on the Instagram post, “I’m not pregnant leave me alone.”

That November, she shot down pregnancy speculation before it could even begin when she shared a photo of her abdomen in her Instagram story.

“Not a baby,” she wrote in a caption over her stomach, which appeared to have a slight bump.

In reality, she revealed, she had an ovarian cyst “the size of an apple.”

“It’s painful and achey and makes me feel nauseous and bloated and crampy and emotional,” she wrote on her photo.

In August 2023, some tabloids, including the UK's The Sun and The Mirror, also published articles questioning whether Bieber was covering up a baby bump in her recent social media photos.

In her recent GQ interview, Bieber said “it would be a lie” to say the pregnancy rumors don’t affect her at all.

She also said she will continue to protect her privacy around the choice to have a baby.

“When there comes a day that that is true,” she said, “You … you, as in the internet, will be the last to know.”

The model also shared that when she was younger, she hoped to raise her future children out of the spotlight but said that now, some amount of recognition is “probably totally unavoidable.”

“That was before I was married,” she said. “Didn’t know who I was going to be married to at the time, I’m sure.”

Bieber, the younger daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin, also discussed what it might be like for her future children to grow up with a famous last name as she did, saying it would be “awesome” yet “challenging.”

She also joked about dressing any future children in “Nepo Baby” onesies, a playful spin on the “Nepo Baby” T-shirt she wore earlier this year.

“That would be genius,” she said.

At the end of the day, motherhood “is something that I look forward to,” Bieber said. “It’s also such a private, intimate thing. It’s something that’s going to come when it comes.”

In the meantime, she asked people spreading pregnancy rumors to just live and let live.

“It’s just, honestly, at the end of the day, so hilarious how much people f------ care,” she added. “Let me do what I want to do with my body and you guys can do what you want to do with your body — and let’s just let it be that.”
