Margo and Sophie ditched the honky-tonk for the red carpet in the big city.

Malin Åkerman and Brittany Snow’s sizzling on-screen chemistry also translates in real life.

The “Hunting Wives” stars swapped their boots for heels during a night out at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards.

In the hit series, which is set in east Texas, Åkerman portrays the captivating Margo Banks, who’s in an open marriage of sorts with the town’s aspiring politician. Snow’s Sophie O’Neil moves to town with her husband and becomes fast friends with Margo, and it doesn’t take long for their friendship to turn romantic.

Fans of the show, which was adapted from author May Cobb's book of the same name, quickly began shipping Margo and Sophie. Even the actors themselves seem to love the pairing. Åkerman has reshared fan edits of their characters’ scenes on Instagram, and the two often leave supportive comments on each other’s social media posts.

Last week, Åkerman hung out with two of her other “Hunting Wives” co-stars, Katie Lowes and Jaime Ray Newman, in New York. The trio documented their fun in pics on Instagram, and Snow clearly had FOMO.

“what to do with these jealous feelings!!!” she commented on Lowes’ post, with crying emoji.

She shared a similar sentiment in the comments section of Åkerman’s post.

“*yelling to the sky* whyyyyy am i in LA!!?!” she wrote.

Åkerman replied, promising they would soon have their own fun.

“you were sorely missed 🥰 Soon it’s our turn baby!!! NYC here we come for round 2 😎,” she said.

Their turn first kicked off in Los Angeles on Sept. 6, when Åkerman and Snow presented at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

“What a special evening at the @televisionacad with my baby girl @brittanysnow celebrating all the wonderful artistry that TV has to offer 💫 Thanks for having us!” Åkerman captioned a post about the event on Instagram, which featured a carousel of photos of the actor solo and with her co-star.

She also reshared Snow's Instagram story about being each other's “dream date,” adding the smiling face with hearts emoji and the text: “Dream date is right.”

The fun did not stop there, as Snow also shared a video to her Instagram story of them in face masks on a plane to NYC, which Åkerman reposted to her story with the text, “Thx for keeping me hydrated @brittanysnow.”

Åkerman and Snow have previously documented their friendship in fun Instagram posts together.

“Just an appreciation post for this unicorn! Love this girl 💕,” Åkerman captioned an Aug. 4 Instagram post featuring a photo of the two posing in a bar, along with the hashtags #soulsister and #margoandsophie.

“Love you my girl 😭😭😭,” Snow commented on the post.

Snow has shared multiple social media posts with behind-the-scenes snaps from “The Hunting Wives,” including some shots of Åkerman.

The two were also surprised by how many people watched the show.

Åkerman told Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show” she’s been traveling all summer, and she wasn’t aware of the series’ immense popularity. That is, until she noticed her Instagram following increased once “The Hunting Wives” dropped on Netflix in July.

She recalled receiving a text from Snow after a party that said everyone there had seen the show.

“I was like, ‘OK, OK, that’s great,’” Åkerman explained. “She goes, ‘No, no, no. I mean, like, every single person.’ I went, ‘Really? People are actually watching it?’ And she was like, ‘Yeah, they are!’ So it was just like a slow burn because I wasn’t here.”
