We may have fallen in love with her as Elle Woods nearly 14 years ago, but Reese Witherspoon is one of those Hollywood A-listers who remains close to our hearts.

The mom of three is working harder than ever as she juggles being there for her kids while pursuing a career in Hollywood — and now even beyond that with a lifestyle brand called Draper James. This Southern beauty is not letting anything come in her way when it comes to following her dreams. Let's just say it's another reason why we adore her! As they say, dream big or go home, and Witherspoon is doing just that.

TODAY's Jenna Bush Hager sat down with Witherspoon for an interview that appears in Southern Living's September Issue. The two touched on everything from Witherspoon being the perfect Southern belle to how she manages to do it all.

While we've all heard a lot about her aspirations and accolades over the years, one thing we aren't so familiar with is her role as a mom. Hager got Witherspoon to open up and speak candidly on the subject.

"No, and no one’s really doing it perfectly," she said. "I think you love your kids with your whole heart, and you do the best you possibly can."

And when it comes to balancing life as a mom with a career, Witherspoon is the first to admit it's not so easy.

"Right now I’m feeling sad missing my little 2-year-old, and my daughter’s about to finish her freshman year of high school, and my son has a golf tournament this weekend that I hope I don’t miss," she said. "There are some sacrifices you make, and it hurts your heart sometimes, but my kids tell me they’re proud of what I’ve accomplished, and that just means everything."

"I grew up with a working mom, and I have so much respect for the things she did as a nurse and a teacher. I would never begrudge her that," she added.

With beautiful children and a booming career, in many ways Witherspoon proves that you really can have it all. It just may not always be easy.
