Transitioning your wardrobe from summer to fall can be a challenge — but it doesn’t have to be! Chassie Post, lifestyle editor of Gilt.com, visited TODAY Thursday to show you how to transform some of your favorite summer pieces into trendy fall must-haves!

... then forget the "rule" that you can't wear white after Labor Day. White jeans can absolutely work in fall! Start with a basic T-shirt, add a chunky sweater and add a dose of trendy flair with a cropped military jacket. A fun, bright scarf and leopard pumps perfectly finishes off the look.

... then it's time to think again. The art of transitioning outfits for guys is to layer, layer, layer. Take a Polo shirt (or even layer two) then add a denim jacket and a classic army parka on top. Finish it all off with a man scarf — the ultimate layering piece.
