Ingredients
- 3 each maitake mushrooms
- 3 tablespoon extra virgin oilive oil
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup julienne basil
- 3 tablespoon aged balsamic vinegar
Preparation
Baking Directions:
Trim the bottom off of the maitake mushrooms.
Stand the mushrooms on a small ovenproof dish and drizzle them with the extra-virgin olive oil.
Season with the salt and pepper.
Place under the broiler in the oven on the middle rack and let cook for 4-5 minutes.
Remove from the oven, split the mushrooms in half and place the cooked mushrooms on a serving plate.
Drizzle the mushrooms with extra-virgin olive oil and aged balsamic and garnish with the julienne basil.
