Ski champ Lindsey Vonn seems to be getting over missing the Sochi Olympics by snuggling Leo, the adorable puppy she adopted from a shelter. Her new four-legged friend (who also has a bad knee) is cheering the athlete up, as evidenced by his new Instagram account, where he introduces himself, saying "I was found in a park, then I was hit by a car and have 6 pins in my knee. I was left at a shelter but now I have a new home. Ps I love to cuddle :)"
Vonn suffered a devastating injury to her reconstructed right knee — after having major knee surgery last spring — when she stumbled on the slopes during practice last month. One of the best known winter athletes in the world, she would have been competing in her third Olympics, after having won the downhill gold and super G bronze in Vancouver in 2010.
Written in the dog's voice, the Instagram feed shows Leo and Lindsey at the beach, cuddling and logging some couch time. Clearly, this is the must-follow account of the day!
"Hi my name is Leo :)," reads the caption under the doggie's introductory post.
"That's my frisbee!!" he protests in this shot on the beach.
