Kelly Clarkson welcomes baby boy, Remington Alexander Blackstock

River Rose is a big sister!

Kelly Clarkson welcomed her second child on Tuesday, she announced via Twitter Thursday morning. Clarkson also revealed the baby boy's name: Remington Alexander.

Ryan Seacrest told fans that the singer was nearing her due date during last Thursday night's "American Idol" finale. Though Clarkson was unable to attend the live show, she performed a medley of her hits in a pre-taped segment.

Clarkson first announced that she and husband Brandon Blackstock were expecting baby No. 2 back in August, during a show at Los Angeles' Staples Center.

"I was not planning on announcing this, but I'm pregnant," she told the crowd. "Totally pregnant!"

In October, she revealed that they were expecting a boy with an adorable Instagram photo of daughter River Rose, which she captioned, "In other news, River's gonna have a little baby brother :) #itsaboy We're so excited!"

Clarkson, 33, and Blackstock, 39, wed in 2013 at Tennessee's Blackberry Farms. River Rose was born in June 2014.

The expanding family also includes Savannah and Seth, Blackstock's two children from a previous relationship.
