It's something she can laugh about now, but back in July, Carrie Underwood had a terrifying experience: Her dogs accidentally locked themselves and her baby Isaiah in the car — when no adults were inside to free them.

"Everything worked out, but as she's recently told radio show US99.5, it was terrifying at the time.

"We were at the airport, the car was running, the radio was on, the air conditioning was on, our family kind of came to see us off," she said. "As you do, you get out of the front seat and you shut the door so you can turn around, so you can get your luggage out."

She continued, "My husband [Mike Fisher] and I both got out at the same time and both shut the door at the same time, and immediately one of our dogs, I still don’t know what one it was, jumped up on the control panel on the door, and heard the thing click, and I was like, ‘the doors locked, the doors locked, the doors locked!'"

They tried to jimmy the door open, but no hangers were handy. Fortunately, one brother-in-law was, and he broke the window to save the day, the baby and the dogs. "It was such a random thing," she said.

No doubt, Underwood now carries a spare set of car keys!
