What does kindness mean to you? TODAY fans sure can count the ways.

As part of our Season of Kindness, TODAY set up blackboards on the 30 Rock Plaza and asked people to use chalk to finish the sentence, “Kindness is…”

The responses were wide-ranging, heartfelt, and even funny.

Daughters. Compassion. Do something nice every day. Selfless service to others. Making everybody feel like somebody. Paying it forward.

Refilling the toilet paper. (“We like that one,” Al Roker said.)

Following are more examples of what 'Kindness is,' shared by TODAY fans on the plaza and via social media.
