On Jan. 14, 1952, Dave Garroway welcomed America to TODAY -- and morning television has never been the same. Since then, TODAY has brought its viewers nearly six decades of historical moments.

This morning -- on our 59th birthday -- TODAY kicks off a year-long celebration that'll lead to our 60th-anniversary milestone.

As part of the celebration, we'll reflect on our remarkable history, highlighting special moments, unforgettable segments and newsmaking interviews.  We’ll look at every aspect of the show -- the anchors, the guests, the set, the crowd, the Plaza, and how TODAY has evolved (and in some cases, stayed the same) over the years.

The year will culminate in a star-studded celebration on Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, with TODAY anchors past and present, favorite celebrity guests, and special surprises and performances.

But the most important part of the celebration is YOU – because TODAY has been going for 60 years only because of your loyalty.

Click here to submit your favorite memory of TODAY -- we will use some of these thoughts in our planning and in a future post.
