Joining TODAY from Bentonville, Arkansas, Doug McMillon, CEO of Walmart, the nation’s largest employer, says that while “it’s important we get back to work as we can,” the economy will reopen “a region at a time, a county at a time.” He describes steps Walmart has taken to keep its workers “as safe as possible” and calls them “truly heroic.” He says that while food “is in good shape” on Walmart shelves, hand sanitizer and paper products “sell out right away” and he urges shoppers to “buy week to week” instead of stocking up.April 10, 2020
