Susan Sarandon: I don’t mind being called ‘The Meddler’ in new film

Wearing a shirt that says “Call your mother” as well as a walking boot due to a recent injury, actress Susan Sarandon is joined by her co-star Rose Byrne as they visit TODAY to talk about their new film “The Meddler,” about a meddling mother and her successful (but single) daughter. “I fell off a mountain in Colombia hiking,” Sarandon says, explaining the boot. “I did it at the bottom of the mountain, and that was smart,” she jokes. ‘The Meddler’ opens in select theaters Friday.
