Sha’Carri Richardson’s fans insist on 2nd chance after sprinter’s suspension for failed drug test


With 19 days until the Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, many were stunned last week when 21-year-old track star Sha’Carri Richardson was suspended after a drug test came back positive for THC, the active ingredient in marijuana. Richardson took responsibility, but her fans are calling for a second chance and questioning why she was suspended at all. NBC’s Kathy Park has this week’s Sunday Focus.
