Ibtihaj Muhammad, a 30-year-old Muslim woman, is an American fencer who is set to become the first U.S. athlete to compete in the Olympics while wearing a hijab. She says wearing a full-body fencing uniform during matches in high school was “uniquely accommodating” because it allowed her to fit in with other athletes. TODAY’s Craig Melvin reports.
