Dow closes above 20,000 for first time ever: Will the surge last?


On Wednesday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed above 20,000 points for the first time. Since the November election, the Dow has jumped 9 percent, the surge coming in the wake of what observers call “clarity” from the White House that has helped boost investor confidence.
