Deja vu Diana? Duchess Kate channels the late princess

Duchess Kate has emulated the late Princess Diana's style in the past, but never has the resemblance been as strong as when Kate donned a headscarf Friday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The royal, traveling Southeast Asia along with husband Prince William, removed her shoes and hid her hair and neck in an elegant white scarf before visiting a local mosque. She paired it with a retro-inspired, buttoned-down white dress by Beulah London, and as the Huffington Post pointed out, the ensemble is nearly identical to what Diana wore back in 1996 in Lahore, Pakistan.

As for accessories, it seems Kate doesn't travel without her lucky shoes: the shoes she took off were her nude L.K. Bennett Sledge pumps, which she has worn on several occasions. (Makes us wonder: does Kate have more than one pair? Probably, right?)

Kudos to Kate for looking ever so graceful and classy, while battling the distasteful news of French magazine Closer publishing topless photos of her on vacation. The royal has received rave reviews for her professional yet friendly performance during this latest overseas tour, in which she delivered her first international public speech. Luckily, the palace has her back: the Duke and Duchess just filed a lawsuit against the mag, citing an invasion of privacy.
