Perfect holiday hairstyles: Red carpet-ready updo

Split the hair in half and pin the top so it stays. 

Feel free to twist hair if it helps secure the pins.

Divide the hair into three sections, leaving the middle as the thickest. Braid each section individually. (Be sure to pull out braids to make them appear wider.)

Take the middle braid and wrap it around counterclockwise until you create a bun.

Pin it into place.

Take one of the other braids and wrap it around the exterior of the bun.

Pin it until secure.

Repeat on the other side.

Secure the finished bun with bobby pins.

Add a decorative piece that lays right on top of your braided bun.

Now your hair is red-carpet ready!
