2025 is all about "bold" trends, per Pinterest, whose findings include a massive amount of searches for "cherry vibes," "new wave makeup," "medieval core" and more you wouldn't exactly expect.
The most-searched term? "Rococo outfit," up a staggering 5,465%. What does "rococo" mean exactly? According to Pinterest, it's "Bridgerton"-core — corsets, frills, you get the picture.
From aura beauty to fisherman aesthetics and at-home soda recipes to even matching with your furry friends, Pinterest predicts we'll be seeing a lot more of these trends in the new year.
Seeing Double
Instead of taking inspiration from your best friends, why not match them instead? Seeing double is all about "staying in sync," Pinterest says, with matching bracelets, sports jerseys, nails and more.
Old Navy Flannel Pocket Shirt
This year, it’s all about matching! Coordinated outfits and accessories will be all the rage, according to Pinterest. Associate editor Kamari Stewart and her boyfriend have already started to get in on the trend, wearing matching flannels for Thanksgiving. They both wore ones that were similar to this affordable option from Old Navy.

Editor Vivien Moon's favorite way to style the trend is to match with her dog, Charlie, with their matching Draper James sweaters. (Her exact sweater is currently sold out, but we found a similar option.)

Searches for matching bracelets have risen by 70%, according to Pinterest. I [Stessman] think this bracelet would be such a great way to match with my sister or BFF. The interlocked circles give a subtle nod to our forever bond without feeling overtly like a friendship bracelet.

If they haven't gotten your vote of confidence yet on these trends, Pinterest is hoping to reel you in with this one. Sardines, sweaters, raincoats, bucket hats and more make up the "fisherman aesthetic," as seen below.

Searches for fisherman sandals have spiked by 30%, Pinterest revealed in the report. Editor Rebecca Brown says that these sandals are "so comfortable and require no breaking in."

Social media editorial assistant Annie Shigo has had her eye on this cable knit sweater from Nuuds. "I love the oversized look and think this type of sweater is such a great basic," she shares.
Clearly, she's not the only one who thinks so! According to Pinterest, searches for cable knit sweaters have risen by 110%.

Similarly, I'm [Hoeger] also a fan of this cozy sweater. I was curious how it would feel, because most sweaters like this prove to be itchy, however the fabric is far from it. I was also hesitant about ordering a size S, yet it fits perfectly and is a little bit oversized.

These finds are sure to be the (literal) cherry on top. In 2025, you're going to be seeing more makeup products available in the deep red shade, products that implement the fruity pattern and more foods that incorporate the tart flavors of cherries.
