Stevie Wonder takes wheel for James Corden's Carpool Karaoke

James Corden's best recurring bit on "The Late Late Show" has to be Carpool Karaoke, wherein he goes for a ride in the fast lane with musical greats.

We've seen him croon with Mariah Carey, sing for his supper with Jennifer Hudson and get "Sexy" with Rod Stewart. But his latest ride might just be the best yet.

On Monday night, he got behind the wheel with Stevie Wonder!

Actually, Wonder took the wheel first.

"Are you sure you're OK to drive? Because this is making me feel a bit uneasy," Corden admitted.

"I've got my license," the singing legend shot back. "Wait a minute — I don't!"

After a big laugh and a quick seat switch, they were off on a musical adventure through Wonder's impressive catalog. But it was in between the karaoke hits that things really got great.

That's when Wonder spoke to Corden's wife, Julia, on the phone.

"Julia this is Stevie from England," he said with a heavy and heavily borrowed accent. "Not the Stevie Wonder you know. Another one!"

But the laughs soon turned to tears when he broke into an impromptu version of "I Just Called To Say I Love You," sweetly swapping the lyrics "to say James loves yooooou!"

Corden wiped away the waterworks and said, "Oh, my God! You've just bought be so many Brownie points with my wife."
