A case of Jay Z's arachnophobia set off the infamous Standard Hotel elevator footage, according to "Saturday Night Live."
It was a spider that caused the commotion between Jay Z and his sister-in-law Solange, who was simply trying to brush the eight-legged creature off of him.
Thanks to a version of the tape acquired by TMZ that contains sound from the incident, all has been revealed.
"Oh my god, there's a spider on you!" Sasheer Zamata as Solange screams in the "exclusive" audio from the SNL skit over the weekend.
"What? Get it. You know I hate spiders," Jay Z (voiced by Jay Pharoah) responds.
"It keeps moving," Solange says, lunging for him.
"Kick it," Jay Z suggests before Solange finally gets it — or at least she thinks so.
“Oh my god, the spider is back," she screams a second later.
"Get it. I got arachnophobia," Jay Z says.
Later, "Beyonce" joins the group to tell her side of the story — and Maya Rudolph, hilariously, is the only one with a fan blowing her hair.
In reality, Jay Z, Solange Knowles and Beyoncé released a statement last week acknowledging the May 5 altercation but saying "our family has worked through it."
