We just don't see how a world that makes such wonderful things ... could previously never have thought of casting Rebel Wilson as Ursula in a live staging of the 1989 Disney movie "The Little Mermaid."

Seriously, how come we never thought of this pairing before? Rebel Wilson as Ursula! It's a nearly "pitch perfect" match. She may not be known first and foremost for her singing chops, but she is arguably best known for appearing in a number of singing-centric films about a capella music.

Luckily, the producers of the recent concert at the Hollywood Bowl did recognize that the actress would be perfect for the part: She sang the villain's famous solo number, "Poor Unfortunate Souls," with a live orchestra backing her and a stage filled with a ton of other Hollywood A-listers — Darren Criss as Prince Eric, John Stamos as Chef Louis, and Sara Bareilles as Ariel.

How's that for a magical cast?

Plus, Wilson wore an insanely high, platinum-blond wig that countered her character's evilness with a bit of humor.

“Thank you so much to all the fans who came out to see The Little Mermaid in concert last night,” Wilson tweeted after the performance.
