Jordan Chiles Reflects On Her Historic Collegiate Career, Talks 2028 Olympics

The gymnast, who graduated from UCLA in June, joined TODAY to reflect on her accomplishments.

As the nation celebrates a big milestone on July 4, Olympian Jordan Chiles also has her own share of achievements to look back on.

The 2024 Paris Games gold medal-winning gymnast joined TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin on America’s 250th birthday to chat about her collegiate career, which ended just a few months before she graduated in June from the University of California, Los Angeles.

During her time with the UCLA Bruins, Chiles scored a whopping 19 perfect 10s.

“I’m just happy that I was able to end my career with such a magnificent accolade,” Chiles said. “That’s crazy to me.”

Chiles, a two-time Olympian, also reflected on her experience, competing for the U.S. on the world stage.

“Being able to represent the country at an Olympic Games not just once but twice — it means everything,” Chiles told TODAY. “We wear USA with pride, with joy.”

When asked if she’ll be competing at the 2026 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, Chiles kept things open-ended.

“We’ll have to wait and see,” she quipped.
