Welcome to the "revealing" world of Kate Hudson at the premiere of her new movie, "The Skeleton Key," at Universal Studios Hollywood.

"Can I get a spin?" Access Hollywood's Billy Bush asked, as Kate strolled the red carpet in a super-sheer black Versace gown.

"Hi," Kate said with a spin.

"Your dress is gorgeous," Billy said. "How did you settle on wearing this tonight?"

"I didn't realize it was as revealing, and my husband looked at me and was like, heh heh ...heh... yeah," Kate laughed.

For her big premiere Tuesday, Kate left nothing to the imagination — she redefined fashion.

Kate turned to show off her nearly-backless dress as Billy shouted: "Daring! Sexy! Glamorous!"

Joined on the red carpet by husband Chris Robinson (singer for Black Crowes), Kate got one more fashion review.

"It speaks for itself!" Robinson laughed.

It certainly did! Kate had Chris by her side, but she had a little competition in the fashion department from an absent relative.

Kate's look is gorgeous, but she had some tough competition from a guy in tights, as Billy displayed a picture of Kurt Russell, dressed in a superhero outfit complete with cape, from his new film "Sky High."

"The other (look) which I think might I might recommend to Chris, if he wants to keep his woman on her toes, is something hot," Billy laughed.

"That's my Pa!" Kate smiled. "How handsome is my Dad? I mean even in his weird Superman outfit!

"He's Commander!" Billy said.

"Commander, Commander!" Kate said in a low voice.

Yes, Kate's "Pa," Kurt Russell, plays a superhero in "Sky High" but Tuesday night was all about Kate's terrifying voodoo thriller, "The Skeleton Key," set in the bayous near New Orleans.

"Is this interview over or can you come in?" Billy said, holding a dust pan filled with red brick dust.

The dust refers to a Voodoo charm from the film that Kate's character learns will tell her who her enemies are.

"Yeah, I can come in!" Kate said, after a moment's consideration.

Of course you can, Billy tells Kate. Kate's brother Oliver and his fiancee, Erin, came to support the 26-year-old actress, but Mom, Goldie Hawn, was home babysitting Ryder, Kate and Chris' son.

Check out Billy's exclusive interview with Kate on Thursday's Access Hollywood as Billy joins Kate in the Big Easy for a spin around town.

We know Kate and Goldie will be watching!

"The Skeleton Key" is in theaters Aug. 12.
