For the first time since their TLC show "Jon & Kate Plus Eight" began filming in 2006, Jon and Kate Gosselin taped their usually joint interviews separately, according to a sneak preview of the new season.
The couple — shown together at their sextuplets' fifth birthday party — talk individually about their love for their children and Jon addresses their marital difficulties.
"Kate and I have been going through a lot of stuff and discussing what's best for our kids," says Jon, barely filling the couple's love seat. "What'd we say from the beginning? 'It's a crazy life, but it's our life.' That's so true." Adds Kate: "My kids are the reason I have always done everything."
The fifth season opener premieres on May 25.
