Britney Spears has hired a babysitter — for her hubby.
The “Oops, I Did It Again” crooner is paying a minder/bodyguard to keep an eye on her aspiring rap star husband Kevin Federline, according to In Touch Weekly.
“The last thing Britney wants to do is accompany Kevin on all his club dates,” an “insider” told the mag. “That’s why she hired a babysitter — a person who will keep Kevin from misbehaving and report directly back to her.”
The move reportedly came after one of Spears’ most trusted security guys, an ex-CIA agent named Richard, quit because of Federline’s partying.
“Richard is a straitlaced guy, and he was upset with Kevin’s behavior,” a “pal” told the mag. Spears eventually convinced Richard to return — after promising to do something about her partying hubby. “I’ll take care of the Kevin situation,” she allegedly promised, “if you take care of me.”
Federline was not thrilled about having the round-the-clock sitter, says the mag, but “Britney told him it wasn’t up for negotiation.”

The “D-List” star was asked by the Indianapolis Star about what the “American Idol” star — whose career has been tarnished by allegations about his private life — should do to shine up his image. “First of all, major relocation,” Griffin replied. “He has to leave the country. He has to be like Josephine Baker or David Hasselhoff and find a fan base overseas. I think once you have had your picture in the Star tabloid with four Webcam pictures of you hooking up with a guy and you don’t have a shirt on, it’s time for a ‘vacation’.”
Griffin also said that Aiken should turn to Barry Manilow for advice. “He has to have a long sit-down with Manilow and get a game plan,” she said. “He has to say, ‘Barry, I want you to plan out my next year. I’ll do whatever you say.’ He should follow the footsteps of his obvious mentor.”
Griffin also had some harsh words for this season’s contestants. “Don’t you love when they talk about their ‘fans’ without one hint of irony?” she asked. “I’m looking at them and thinking, ‘You’re going to be working at The Limited at the mall in about eight days. So knock it off with your ‘fans.’”

Anne Rice, the vampire-obsessed author who recently found religion, doesn’t take “The Da Vinci Code” too seriously. When the Catholic Rice was asked what she thought of the wildly best-selling novel — which some church officials have attacked — she replied, “It’s a hoot.”
