It's not actually a case of ginger bias.
But it does have some parents, and kids, wondering where schools should draw the line.
A Texas 12-year-old was suspended from school after dyeing bright streaks in her hair. The school district said the new 'do was distracting to other students, and sent her home. She has since changed her hair to a darker red, and has rejoined her classmates.
"I don't think that children are going to sit in class and not be able to concentrate on their schoolwork because her hair is red," her mother, Jessica Leyer, says.
