As we look ahead to 2015, we say goodbye to the food trends of 2014 and say hello to the new trends that will take their place. The just-released Pinterest 100 list predicts lifestyle trends for the new year, based on popular pins. We checked out the list and identified five of the hottest food and drink trends to watch for in the new year, plus some easy recipes to get you in the game early!

3. Carbs go paleo
Usually when we think of the paleo diet, our minds go to meat and vegetables, not to comforting carbs. But recipes like these paleo waffles are ready to change all that.
Next year, expect to see more paleo-friendly carbs, like this faux cornbread stuffing.
4. Tequila is the new vodka
Instead of using rum, this take on the Mai Tai calls for tequila for a creative spin that is Pinterest tested and approved.
If you are looking for another unusual (but delicious) drink with tequila, whip up a batch of salted caramel hot chocolate with tequila.
5. Cauliflower is the new kale
Cauliflower is quickly overtaking kale as the darling of the vegetable set. Expect it not just as a side, but as a key ingredient in main dishes. Here cauliflower is used to create a pizza crust that also happens to be gluten free, tapping into another food trend.
