Check out these photos from Al's trip to Manitoba where he observed polar bears in their natural habitat....

This photo was taken by professional photographer Kevin Gilbert, who we met during our stay at the Tundra Buggy Lodge.

Kevin Gilbert took this photo of us just minutes before the polar bear caught our scent and we had to run back on to the giant tundra buggy behind us.

Our crew in Manitoba after we've transferred a wayward polar bear out of town limits. He's a little groggy but will wake up in no time. That's the only way to get that close to a real polar bear.

Just before our helicopter ride to see the polar bear landscape. The most striking thing was that there was no snow! Usually this time of year the ground is covered. A possible sign of global warming.
