Sarah Jessica Parker is launching a new shoe collection, and she’s doing it with the head of Manolo Blahnik, the brand her “Sex and the City” alter ego turned into a household name.

The SJP line will be available exclusively at Nordstrom early next year and will also include bags and a few trenchcoats.

“In a silly way, I think it’s what people have expected of me most because of Carrie Bradshaw,” the actress told Vogue.

The collection won’t be the first venture into fashion for the actress. Parker was a former creative director for Halston, and in 2008 she launched a budget-conscious clothing line, Bitten, for the short-lived retail chain Steve & Barry's.

The SJP line will be quite a departure from Parker’s Bitten collection: Single-sole pumps and flats will range from $200 to $300, and bags will likely sell for under $700, according to Vogue. That price range is more in line with what Carrie Bradshaw was used to paying to indulge her penchant for gorgeous and expensive footwear.

“Because I got to play that role, I wore a lot of shoes and by default I learned an enormous amount,” she said. “It’s hard to walk away from that.”
