Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon egg
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Preparation
Baking Directions:
Form the dough into a log that's 6-inches long and 2-inches in diameter.
Wrap it in plastic wrap, and put it in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Place a layer of ungreased wax paper on a cookie sheet; repeat with more sheets, if necessary, until you have enough room to bake 28 cookies.
Cut log into 1/4-inch slices (you should have about 28 slices), place slices on cookie sheet(s), and bake for 16 minutes.
Let cool for a few minutes before serving; the cookies are best within an hour of baking.
