“If you are trying to land yourself a date, you might need a dog ... because apparently dogs are date magnets,” Hoda said, referencing the results of a new survey.
Kloof, an iPhone app for pet lovers, surveyed 1,000 singles asking which dogs make the owner most attractive. The top dogs to attract men were Chihuahuas, Labrador retrievers and golden retrievers.
Apparently, when men see a woman walking a golden retriever they see her as girlfriend material, but if they see a woman who has a Chihuahua, they tend to think she’s a one-night stand.
“Or she’s high-maintenance,” Hoda said.
For the guys, the top dog breeds to attract a woman were Labrador retrievers, golden retrievers and German shepherds.

But none of those breeds would attract Kathie Lee or Hoda. A miniature Maltese-poodle mix is what does it for KLG. “You give me a teacup maltipoo and I’m home,” she said.
Hoda didn’t believe it, but KLG stood her ground. “I would think he’s sensitive and loving,” she said.
According to Hoda, the survey also said that “if guys happen to be walking a boxer, a bulldog or a Rottweiler, back away from those guys, because they are players.”
