Kanye West after Taylor Swift: 'Everything was taken from me'

As long as Kanye West keeps talking about the great Taylor Swift incident of 2009, Scoop will be here to post something. In the latest (somewhat nonsensical) installment, West tells a crowd at a New York screening of his film "Runaway" that he stormed the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards because he was just trying to help. “My whole career crashed about me one day. And I was doing something to help, after years and years and years of watching it happen. I didn't want to let them say that the aliens built the pyramids, you know? And the next day I'm hearing 'Die, n----, die, I hope you never sell another record,'" West said, according to Vulture. He also said that as a result, he lost everything. “My mother passed. Everything was taken from me. I lost the tour, lost my clothing line, left America altogether. But they didn't realize that they f--- up. When everybody hates you, you don't have to do s--- to make them happy. I was like, I just want to hear a RZA beat, a Pete Rock beat, a Q-Tip beat ... that proper hip-hop, punk-rock 'I don't give a f---.'"
