Goalkeeper-turned-hoofer-hopeful Hope Solo hasn’t had much to say since she and pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy got the ballroom boot on Tuesday night’s “Dancing With the Stars” — until now.
While Solo didn't pick up too many perfect dance floor steps on the show, at least according to the panel of experts, in a new interview with Seattle’s Komo 4 News, she admitted she learned a couple of other important things.
"I mean, I learned a lot about reality television," she said before adding another tidbit that she gleaned. "I definitely didn't fit into the Hollywood world.”
For Solo, that reality-TV-Hollywood world was filled with criticism from “Dancing” judges that she and her partner found unfair. It also featured rehearsal and behind-the-scenes footage that showed her at less than her best.
"I'm not an entertainer. I'm not part of Hollywood. I'm not comfortable with the cameras on me 24/7," she said. "You know, it definitely showed my bad side, quite a bit. So there you go, America. I do curse from time to time. I do kick walls from time to time. Because I want to be the best I can be."
And that’s exactly what she intends to be as she returns to her sport of choice — soccer.
