Watch this Carolina cop show off his dance moves at community event

A uniformed police officer at a recent community event in Hickory, North Carolina, decided to get in on the action when attendants showed off their line-dancing skills to the song "Wobble" by V.I.C.

Facebook user Margo Carlton, who told NBC News she filmed the popular video, said she's received dozens of friend requests since posting the video on her page Thursday.

"I just happened to show up and recorded the video," she added. "It just went viral."

The video on her Facebook page alone has been viewed more than 5 million times and shared more than 92,000 times as of Tuesday afternoon.
