If we were Jimmy Fallon, we might walk home with a friend tonight.
Hoda and Kathie Lee got a shoutout from the Late Night host when he read a list of pros and cons about Mardi Gras. If you want to call fightin' words a "shoutout."
"Pro: In New Orleans, it's a time for partying, drunken revelry, and public intoxication," said Jimmy. "Con: in New York, that's known as the Fourth Hour of the TODAY Show."
Big mistake, Jimmy. Huge. Apparently he immediately realized what he'd done, because knows he immediately started acting like he'd just made an enemy in the mob. "I'm gonna get complaint letters from Hoda and Kathie Lee tomorrow," he said, sweating ever so slightly.
And indeed, this morning, the ladies were not amused. Okay, they were kind of amused.
"You're dead to us," said Kathie Lee.
"There are no cons to Mardi Gras," added Hoda.
"We love you Jimmy," they laughed together, just a moment too long for comfort.
Stay safe, Jimmy.
