Update : In an Instagram video posted on her account Monday afternoon, Lowndes revealed that the relationship announcement was an elaborate early April Fools' Day prank.

Odd couple Jessica Lowndes and Jon Lovitz took their relationship public over the weekend by posting several photos to Instagram that revealed their status as a couple — a seemingly engaged one at that.

Though there's speculation that the engagement may be a hoax, the "90210" starlet prefaced the big announcement by explaining that she's excited to "finally" share this secret.

The actress showed off her ring — along with a huge smile indicating her happiness — in several posts.

Even though haters have been aggressively weighing in on the couple's 31-year age gap, Lovitz and Lowndes haven't let the comments dull their sparkle.

The 27-year-old poked fun at her 58-year-old fiance, captioning a video that the former "Saturday Night Live" star took of her Sunday with the hashtag #TooOldToUseHashtags.

Lovitz, who posted pictures of "Easter with [his] bunny" didn't appear to be fazed by the negative comments they prompted, but rather amused by them.
