Nineties hit high-school sitcom "Saved by the Bell" launched the careers of six teens and landed them the covers of Big Bopper and other teen magazines. Now, Lifetime is offering an unauthorized look at the challenges Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Mario Lopez, Elizabeth Berkley, Tiffani Thiessen, Lark Voorhies and Dustin Diamond faced in the wake of stardom.
The network announced on Thursday that "The Unauthorized Saved By the Bell Story" will premiere on Sept. 1, and has already been cast by none other than Robin Lippin, who was responsible for finding the original show's young actors. Dylan Everett will play Gosselaar, Sam Kindseth will be Diamond, Julian Works will play Lopez, Alyssa Lunch is Thiessen, Tiera Skovbye will portray Berkley and Taylor Russell will be Voorhies.
