Though temperatures have yet to rise in New York, Matt Lauer's face says he's ready for spring.
The TODAY anchor said goodbye to his winter beard on Wednesday, after nearly five months of sporting facial hair.
Matt started showing off the unshaven look for No Shave November last fall, and even after that effort to raise awareness for men's health was over, he decided he liked the beard and opted to keep his scruff.
But with spring officially here, Matt's welcoming the season with a clean shave.
The question is: Do you like his new look? Let us know by voting below and tweet us using the hashtag #YesBeard or #NoBeard to weigh in.
If you miss the beard, don't worry. Matt said he plans to bring it back once again for No Shave November this year.
We also thought it would be fitting to reminisce over all the places Matt's beard had a chance to go while it was around. Here were some of the highlights!
It celebrated almost a month of existence at the Thanksgiving Day Parade in November:
It went all the way to Canada to sit down with embattled Toronto Mayor Rob Ford:
It made an appearance on the Golden Globes red carpet in January:
It sat down with Jimmy Fallon and Jay Leno, as the late night hosts readied for a handover:
It met Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens LIVE, where Matt was forced to plead the fifth.
It went to Sochi, Russia in February, where it helped fill in for Bob Costas in Olympics prime time coverage:
And just this past weekend, it was a proud guest at Savannah's wedding!
We'll miss you, Matt's beard, but it was a good run while it lasted.
