Coronavirus questions: Why not try hydroxychloroquine?
NBC medical correspondent Dr. John Torres joins TODAY to answer viewers’ questions about the coronavirus. Responding to President Trump’s suggestion that people have nothing to lose by taking anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine, which has yet to be proven safe, he says, “potentially you could lose your life,” adding, “we need to wait more on this one.” He also says that despite the case of a tiger testing positive for the virus, you are highly unlikely to catch it from a pet.
