WOWZA! Jill Jill Jill! Thank you for sending. I cannot BELIEVE what is going on here, and I love that you have a mirror so I can see a reflection and check out the full picture. OK, here are three baby steps that will make a HUGE difference:

1)  That headband with stars has GOT TO GO, and for some reason I think there are many more things like that. Any costume-y type items (unless you work in the entertainment field) have got to go!

2) The jeans: You can keep two pairs of jeans. I know you only wear two, so the rest can get donated or put on EBay, and you can make moolah. Does that work?

3) I would love you (if you can) to invest in Huggable Hangers. They are felt hangers that give you quadruple the amount of room in your closet.

Deborah Parrott

Jill Martin says:

Hi Deborah! I know this is going to be rough for you to start but I think you will be on your way. Here are your three assignments for today:

1) Pull out 10 items that DEFINITELY do not belong in your closet. Start a garbage bag and decide where you are going to donate your clothing.

2) THEN, go back in. And ANYTHING -- I mean ANYTHING -- you haven't worn in a year gets added to the garbage bag (at this point, you should be on your third or fourth).

3) TOO MANY SHOES! Sort through your shoes. Any ones that you do not LOVE or wear get added to the bag. That means sneakers, sandals, flip flops. So many of those look like don't belong.

Please do this. You will feel so much better -- and check in with us tomorrow! xo

Jill Martin says:

Hi Juliann--

Thank you so much for sharing. I feel so badly that you are living like this. We have to make a pact and stick to it -- and I will take you through this in baby steps.

Your assignment today:

The room with the dresser is the ONLY room I want you to work on for now.

1) Get a box of garbage bags.

2) Go through one pile on the floor. Pick up as much as you can grab, and then put in one area. You are only allowed to keep 10 out of every 50 items. Be choosy. Make piles of the items you are going to part with. You HAVE to let things go. Anything with a stain, that is stretched out, or that you haven't worn in a year goes into the donation pile.

3) By the end of tomorrow ,please show us five garbage bags you are ready to donate.

I PROMISE you -- you will not miss the items once they leave! It will feel so good to begin this process. Please check in tomorrow and good luck! xoxo
