Olympic gold medal-winning swimmer Michael Phelps tied the knot with Nicole Johnson in October, and now the couple's fans can learn more about the wedding's highlights.

The newlyweds, who dated on and off for more than eight years, first married in a secret ceremony at their Arizona home last June, and then again in the October ceremony in front of 50 friends and family members in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Now they're sharing the details, including an exclusive wedding video, with Brides.

The 23-time gold medalist told the magazine that when he saw Johnson walk down the aisle toward him, he thought, "Wow, now this is really happening.”

"I made the joke to a friend of mine, “Well, there’s no turning back now,” and he was like “Nope, you’re stuck, bro!” he said.

But the 31-year-old champion revealed there were "also a little bit of tears of happiness."

Phelps said after everything the couple had been through — including the birth of their 6-month-old son, Boomer, who served as ring boy — they were "finally at that point where we can make promises to each other."

Helping Boomer with his ring bearer duties took some ingenuity, Phelps' bride revealed.

"We put (the ring) in one of those little net bags that you have for fine jewelry," she revealed. "We got one that matches his (Burberry) outfit, and we put that around his wrist, and he was carried down the aisle by (friend and gold medal swimmer) Allison (Schmitt), our roommate."

During the ceremony, Boomer killed time the same way all babies do: "I think he kind of sucked on the bag a little bit while he was standing up there!” said Johnson.
