Former reality TV star Lauren Conrad experienced the ultimate reality when she wed William Tell on Saturday. The onetime star of "Laguna Beach" and "The Hills" tied the knot with the former Something Corporate guitarist in an intimate ceremony on the California coast. And now, the details of her look are being made available.
Following her rise to fame on television, Conrad, 28, transitioned to a focus on fashion, so she naturally had an exquisite creation custom-made for her big day. The fashionista called on Badgley Mischka to make her gown, and according to a press release from the designers, she was delighted by the result.
“I was so thrilled to have Mark and James work on my dress. Not only have I been a longtime fan of their designs and aesthetic, they are also the nicest guys," Conrad said. "They were so sweet and made the process really enjoyable. I love my dress.”
And the designers were equally thrilled with the opportunity to design Conrad's gown.
"We were delighted when Lauren asked if we would design her wedding gown," Mark Badgley and James Mischka said. "Lauren embodies a young, modern, and sophisticated style that is the type of women we love to design for. She wanted a simple and classic yet glamorous gown which paired perfectly with the Old Hollywood element we love to put in each of our designs."
Exclusive photos in Us Weekly magazine show the new husband and wife, who started dating in 2012, on their big day, with the famous blonde in her romantic lace gown and the groom in a crisp black tuxedo. Conrad offers more insight into what went into the dress design as well as how she chose her hairstyle and makeup for the big day.
Conrad now runs The Little Market, an e-retailer dedicated to fair trade items from around the globe, and Tell left his rock 'n' roll days behind to study law at the University of Southern California.
