You may not recognize the brand name Balmain, but you've certainly seen tons of celebrities wearing the fashion house's designs. Case in point, Taylor Swift's awe-inducing white jumpsuit at the Billboard Music Awards (the overwhelming winner of our best-dressed poll).
Now the red-carpet favorite is teaming up with H&M to provide high-fashion styles to the masses. And for creative director Olivier Rousteing, the collaboration is about more than fast fashion.
"I want to talk to my generation: this is my main aim as a designer. H&M allows me the unique possibility of bringing everyone into the world of Balmain [to] get a piece of the dream and create a global #HMBalmaination: a movement of togetherness, fuelled on a hashtag," Rousteing said in a press release. "The collaboration felt extremely natural to me: H&M is a brand that everybody connects to. It calls for unity, and I am all for it."
Rousteing gave a sneak peek of the collection — which will be available starting Nov. 5 in about 250 stores internationally — by showcasing a few items on models Jourdan Dunn and Kendall Jenner at Sunday's awards show.
