Taylor Swift is best known for her autobiographical break-up tunes, her "Oh, Gosh!" reaction to winning awards and her long blonde hair. But now, she's said so long to the latter. The 24-year-old country-pop crossover singer lopped off her long locks on Tuesday.
Swift shared her new shoulder-sweeping 'do on Instagram, with a Polaroid pic of her and her pal, British singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding.
"London, I could never thank you enough," Swift wrote in the caption as a farewell following the U.K. leg of her "Red" world tour. "See you next time! PS: short hair, don't care. (!!!)"
But that last part wasn't quite true. A lot of other people cared about Swift's short hair, as was evident in a short video she filmed while she got the cut.
"This is how many people who are watching me get a haircut right now," she said as the camera panned around to reveal dozens of eager, cheering onlookers. "We don't do anything without an audience, do we?!"
As for Goulding, she shared some quality time with Swift before the big cut too. Earlier in the evening, the two took the stage together at London's O2 Arena for a performance of Goulding's hit "Burn."
