The show must go on — even without the co-headliner.
That’s apparently the approach being taken by Jay-Z. He says what was “The Best of Both Worlds” tour will now be called “Jay-Z and Friends.” At first, it was expected that the tour would fall apart after R. Kelly was dropped over the weekend. But Jay-Z has decided to continue to tour with Pharell Williams, Slick Rick, Professor Griff and Doug E. Fresh.
During Monday night’s show, Jay-Z was quoted as telling the audience at Madison Square Garden in New York: “We don’t need R&B tonight — we’ve got hip-hop.”
The next date on the tour is tomorrow in Miami.
